British luxury developer Northacre releases plans for The Broadway, a mixed used scheme to be developed on a site nearly two acres in size in Westminster, at a prestigious postcode of SW1, London.
The global launch commenced in Singapore. Westminster is one of the highest capital growth areas in London, according to a report from Barclays Wealth, with an expected increase of 31.9% by 2021. This property is positioned as an ideal project for investment, with favourable projected capital returns.
The location is formerly the site of the New Scotland Yard, home to the London Metropolitan Police. Centred around creating a vibrant community, The Broadway is a residential, commercial, cultural and creative destination. The project is due for completion in 2021, with six towers designed around a 20,000 sq. ft. public square and pedestrianised piazza. The scheme will include a new thoroughfare for London and will host landmark public art.
The scheme will feature use of bright colours and clean, modernist design. It will also include two podium gardens suspended above central London, providing a private haven for residents. The Broadway is also situated in a location with convenient access to transport, as well as luxury retail, entertainment, art, heritage, culture and education, including Westminster School, the leading academic private school in the UK. The locale also hosts a range of top restaurants by Britain’s most highly regarded and interesting talent, including Jason Atherton of Pollen Street Social fame and Helen Puolakka at Aster.
CEO Niccolo Barattieri di san Pietro said, “Today, luxury living is so much more than the four walls of a home. As the most exciting destination in London, the Broadway will be THE place to call home; a place that is all about lifestyle and experience, offering the best of old and new and catering to the preferences of today’s discerning luxury property buyer. The Broadway will be a reassuring legacy investment for future generations, as well as a home that lasts the test of time.”
