The upcoming 21st World Congress of Information Technology (WCIT) and the annual ASOCIO ICT Summit will offer Malaysian delegates opportunities to learn and explore the future of the digital economy.
The summit will be held from 10 to 14 September 2017 at the Taipei International Convention Centre. It is expected that over 3,000 participants will take part in the summit, comprising of leaders from the ICT industry, C-level executives, entrepreneurs, academicians, visionaries and government leaders from 80 countries.
During the summit, which supports the theme ‘Fulfilling the Promise of the Digital Age: Building and Sharing the Digital Dream’, ASOCIO will launch their inaugural research report titled ‘Reimagining the Digital Era’.
According to David Wong Nan Fay, Chairman of ASOCIO: “The research report will share the digital transformation plans of economies in Asia Pacific, the key strategies and the importance of digital initiative in the region.”
Alex Sandy Pentland, also known as the father of wearable computer, is one of the numerous speakers that will take part in the summit. He will speak on innovative applications of Big Data which show how Big Data Analytics of personal information can bring better public governance and increase economic growth.
