As the Chinese New Year celebrations draws closer, Tiger Beer kicks off its countdown to the Year of the Tiger at the Tavern of the Guinness Anchor Berhad (GAB) brewery.

Launching its campaign 88 days before the start of the celebration, the number proves to be a symbolic and prosperous one, according to the Chinese culture. The launch unveils the first and biggest digital clock counting down to the Year of the Tiger located on the side of the GAB headquarters along the Federal Highway.

The upcoming Lunar New Year promises positive changes and opportunities for those willing to take on the challenge. Many have said tigers possess unerring drive and are ambitious in nature – making them a natural born leader.

The story of Tiger Beer resonates with a tiger’s characteristics. Having risen from being a locally brewed beer in 1932, its success now is not only locally bound. The brewery is now available in 70 countries around the world, winning more than 40 international brewing awards and accolade along the way as well.Tiger's 88 Days to CNY @ Tavern - 2 (Mr. Mark Jenner, Market

Adding excitement to the launch, event-goers got to experience an exclusive Tiger Dance demonstration. It features a pair of highly trained performers, doing what they do best; showcasing their acute technique, ability and martial arts.

In addition, consumers can expect a series of rewarding promotions and exciting activities leading into the Year of the Tiger. “As many of you know, Tiger Beer has grown by leaps and bounds from a humble local brew to becoming an award winning Asian beer that is acclaimed for both taste and quality. Right now as we approach the Year of the Metal Tiger, we look forward in anticipation of a year full of triumph, accomplishment and consolidation for Tiger Beer!” reveals Mark Jenner, Marketing Director of GAB.

It should then come as no surprise that Tiger Beer’s slogan “Enjoy Winning!” reflects its approach to all things. In the run-up to the Year of the Tiger, be sure to have a toast to a winning year with a Tiger Beer.
